MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND
All donations for this fund will be dedicated to providing scholarships to individuals in the LGBTQ community that are experiencing financial hardships.
We are all deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Mario Moreno, and send our condolences to his family and his many close friends. As a participant, chair, patron and board-member of Gay & Sober, he helped to create and grow the organization to become the most esteemed recovery events brand in the world. His many talents and special touches are indelibly imprinted on the organization and still evident throughout our events and company culture.
Mario cared deeply about the team members and participants of our organization. The current and former partners who worked alongside him to develop Gay & Sober cherish the many fond memories they have of him, especially of when he stepped up to lead as we came out of the pandemic.
He worked hard, showed up early and left late, never complained, and even under stress - always acted as if, because he believed that the movement was more important than the individual.
He was a tireless advocate for recovery, for the high ideals and standards for our events and environments, and for helping others. We're grateful that the enduring sense of commitment he instilled in our company continues to this day
